*Starting January 1, 2022, ordering physicians must consult appropriate use criteria (AUC) for advanced imaging. All required imaging scheduled must be checked through a CDS Mechanism. Protecting Access to Medicare Act (PAMA) requires ordering clinicians to consult AUC using an approved Clinical Decision Support Mechanism (CDSM) prior to ordering CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and PET studies for Medicare patients.
