X-Ray
X-ray imaging is a commonly used medical imaging technique, known for its speed and simplicity in revealing fractures, misalignments and injuries in bones. X-ray efficiently captures images of the skull, spine, joints and extremities, allowing for the detection of small and big issues, like hairline fractures or breaks. Beyond injury assessment, X-ray images play a crucial role in diagnosing and monitoring the development of degenerative conditions like arthritis, along with providing insights into advanced bone cancers.
How to prepare for your X-ray imaging visit.
Before your exam
- You may be asked to change into a gown to make imaging easier.
- Remove all metal objects, such as jewelry and eyeglasses.
- Inform your technologist if there is any possibility that you are pregnant.
